In this publication, essays by André Gilbert, Mona Filip, and Noor Alé focus on Norouzi’s critical engagement with history and colonial legacies. Her practice explores displacement, exile, memory, and the colonial dynamics of archaeological and cultural extraction. Across her installations, she examines the geopolitical consequences of the movement of plants, artifacts, and people, while addressing environmental destruction, extractivism, and cultural reappropriation. Her work foregrounds resilience in loss, symbolic restitution, and the effort to reclaim marginalized histories.
